Students in the K2 class enjoyed a memorable surprise this week as part of the school’s celebration of Dr. Seuss Week. Mrs. Shonni Montgomery and Mrs. Rachel Latham paid a special visit to the classroom for story time, bringing along a very special guest—a baby lamb.
The visit gave students the chance to experience storytelling in a unique and exciting way. As the class gathered to listen, the baby lamb quickly became the star of the morning, capturing the children’s attention and sparking curiosity and excitement.

I, along with Carroll County Chancery Clerk Casey Carpenter, have meetings scheduled for next week on our documentation from the county on our recovery efforts. Coaches work in practice every day on defense and talk about making the routine plays – not giving good teams extra outs in any inning.
Last Friday, the Winona Christian Stars varsity baseball team hosted Class AAAA power Starkville Academy, looking to avenge an 11-1 road loss on Feb. 23. Once again, the Stars struggled defensively with four unearned runs in losing a 7-2 decision to the Volunteers.
With the loss, the Stars dropped to 3-2 on the season.
