Knitting, learning and fun
Participants learn the basics of finger knitting during a hands-on workshop led by Katie Shotts of the Winston County Extension Office at the Winston County Library last week. Attendees created lap blankets and pillows while exploring the relaxing, no-needle craft. All supplies were provided as part of the class, which introduced beginners to finger knitting techniques. Winston County Library hopes to offer it again in the future.

Commissioner Andy Gipson (center) of the Mississippi Department of Agriculture and Commerce was guest speaker for the Webster County Cattlemen’s Association meeting on March 19. The meeting took place at the Career and Technology Center in Eupora. Gipson has served as ag commissioner since 2018 and is a longtime cattleman in private life. Joining him are his wife, Leslie, and Charlie Shaw, president of the WCCA.
