Funeral services for Mary Elizabeth Stewart were held at 3 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 18, at Friendship Primitive Baptist Church in Winona. Burial followed at Oakwood Cemetery in Winona. The Rev. B.T. Strum officiated the services.
Visitation was held Sunday, Jan. 18, from 2 p.m. until service time at Friendship Primitive Baptist Church in Winona.

Mary Allen Campbell Moore age 93, who was lovingly referred to as "Nanu" by many people who knew her and a beloved member of her family and community, passed away peacefully at her home in Carrollton on Jan. 17.

A graveside service for Annie Rene Carter Armstrong of Winona was held at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 22 at Michie Cemetery near Vaiden. The Rev. Trey Miller will officiate the service. Pallbearers will be Andrew Allen, Lee Sparks, C. J. Helms, Cade Ansley, Joey Ansley, E. J. Swims, and Brennan Jones.

Linda Covington Howard of Ridgeland, Mississippi, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on December 3, 2025, at 1:30 p.m., at the age of 82. She was born on January 26, 1943, in Jackson, MS.
Linda lived a beautiful life marked by faith, compassion, and unwavering love for her family. She cherished her quiet mornings spent in prayer and Bible study, and she carried a gentle, steadfast devotion to Jesus that shaped the way she loved and served others. Her life was a testimony of grace, kindness, and a heart anchored deeply in her Savior.

Gwendolyn Hemphill Steed passed away Tuesday, January 6, at her residence in Madison at the age of 95. She was born on August 5, 1930, in Money, MS, to Judge Roy and Velma Hemphill. She spent her younger years in Money until the family moved to Winona. In high school in Winona, Gwen excelled in sports and developed a love of horses. She had a unique ability to work with young horses and began training and showing Tennessee walking horses after high school, winning many awards. Her love of horses continued throughout her life.

Graveside services were held at 2 P.M. on Monday, Jan. 5, at Evergreen Cemetery with Dr. Jim Phillips officiated the services. Visitation was held from noon until 1:15 P.M. on Monday prior to the service at Greenwood Delta Funeral Home.

Mr. Dale Sudduth passed away Tuesday, Dec. 23. He was born In Winona on June 17, 1962. He was preceded in death by his parents, Harmon and Christine Cook Sudduth; and sister, Laura “Doll” Sudduth.
He is survived by his brother, Jerry Sudduth, and wife Lisa, of Texas; niece, Leah Sudduth; nephew, Justin Sudduth; Aunt, Maxine Lowery; and cousins, Wanda Blaylock (David) and Charlie Lowery - among many others.

Funeral services for Kathy Loftin Permenter were held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 30 in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in Winona Garden of Memory. The Rev. David Cain officiated the service, assisted by Mr. Tally Noah. Pallbearers were Todd Burrell, Taylor Burrell, Tally Noah, Leith Loftin, Devin Loftin, Destin Moore, and Stewart Williams. Honorary pallbearers were Michelle Atkinson, Holley Mitchell, Amy Price, and Mandy Jones.
Visitation was held from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the funeral home.
