People interested in being able to save a life can attend an upcoming presentation on lifesaving techniques.
Wardell Seals Jr., owner and operator of HeartBeat-CPR, will offer a presentation at 9 a.m. on March 11 at Haven Memorial United Methodist Church and a second presentation there at 11:30 a.m. that day.
Seals, a Winona native, said he chose the church due to size and location, and he wants to help people identify signs of health issues.
“We are providing this service to inform and teach the community and surrounding areas how to recognize the signs and symptoms of heart attacks and strokes,” said Seals.
HeartBeat-CPR offers information regarding CPR and First-Aid, Stress Management, OSHA (blood borne pathogens) and Fire Safety, according to Seals.
“I will be presenting information regarding signs of heart attacks, stroke and how to save a life by using lifesaving techniques,” Seals said.
HeartBeat-CPR has operated in Memphis since 1994, serving Tennessee, Arkansas and Mississippi, and Seals said he is looking forward to serving people in his home community.
Seals, who is certified to teach, will offer the presentation at no cost to 100 participants – 50 per session, ages 12 and older, and the deadline to register for the presentation is March 6.
There are two ways to register: Call or text Edwina Gray at 901-262-0002 or email her at edwinag@heartbeat-cpr.com with the desired session to attend.
