A pillar of the community died last week after a bout with illness.
Lula Brown, who wore many hats, including Duck Hill alderman, community servant, wife, mother and friend.
She served as Duck Hill alderman for nearly 20 years, working with former mayor Joey Cooley and current Mayor Alfonzo White.
