Winona Christian sweeps in double digits

Winona Christian had a good week on the hardwoods as both boys and girls’ teams took three double-digit wins.
The Lady Stars beat Lee 47-26, Benton 54-17 and Manchester 57-20. The Stars beat Lee 55-42, Benton 71-21 and Manchester 57-20.
The Lady Stars improve to 10-1 on the season while the Stars move to 5-0.

Rebels roll over Kirk Academy 60-35

The Carroll Academy boys grabbed another win last week.
The Rebels pounded Kirk Academy 60-35 while the Lady Rebels dropped a 48-25 decision.
Carroll will return from the Thanksgiving break and host Regents on Monday and then travel to Kirk on Tuesday.

Stars dominate on the basketball courts

The Winona Christian basketball teams came within four seconds of making it a clean sweep of the week.
The Lady Stars opened the week with a 61-24 win over Tri-County Academy and then took a tight 32-25 win over Marshall on Tuesday. They ended the week with a 30-28 loss to Kirk Academy at the buzzer.

Rebels sweep North Sunflower

Carroll Academy picked up two wins on the basketball courts, sweeping visiting North Sunflower.
The Carroll girls doubled up North Sunflower, winning 66-33 while Noah Beck poured in 31 points as the boys won 57-33.
