On the morning of Wednesday, August 14th, an elderly couple from Carroll County veered off Highway 430 in the Delta near the Acey store. Their vehicle was submerged in the water, and neither could get out. One of the individuals had recently undergone a hip replacement, while the other had recently had heart surgery.
