Life’s trials often leave us questioning why tragedies and hardships occur. I’ve grappled with this myself when I’ve lost a parent, battled addiction, or watched my loved ones struggle. In these moments, we yearn for answers. Could it have been prevented? Is it genetics? What’s the root cause?
Recently, I came across a video telling the story of Jesus healing a blind man. His disciples, seeking understanding, asked if the man’s condition was due to his sins or those of his parents.
John 9:2-3 says this: His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?”
“Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, “but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him.”
When God lifts us from adversity, its not just for our benefit. Our journey becomes a testament to His grace, glory, mercy, and love. Through our experiences, He reveals Himself to a world that may not know Him.
Sharing our story, though it can be daunting and uncomfortable, can be transformative. It’s how we spread the Light to those in darkness, planting seeds of hope in hearts that have yet to know Him. So, when you next wonder “why?”, remember that your testimony has the power to change lives. Your struggles, your triumphs are not just your story, but a chapter in God’s greater narrative of redemption and love.
