Winona Tigers jamboree set for Saturday

The Winona football team will hit the playing field as a 3A school for the first time at 4 p.m. Saturday when the Tigers take on Senatobia, a 4A school, in a jamboree at Oxford High School. The varsity and junior varsity teams will both play a half game.

Lady Stars split six softball games last week

The Winona Christian Lady Stars got in plenty of softball last week as they played six games, winning three of the six.

The Lady Stars will return to action this week when they travel to Oak Hill for a division contest with the Lady Raiders.

Scrimmage pleases CA’s Coach Milton

Carroll Academy football coach Bo Milton got to see what he was looking for on Friday at Pillow Academy.

The Rebels debuted the I-formation against Deer Creek and Tunica Academy in a controlled scrimmage on Friday.

Milton said he was pleased with what he saw.

Lady Tigers split pair in softball jamboree

The Winona slow-pitch softball team opened the season last Saturday with a win and a loss in a jamboree hosted by the Lady Tigers. Winona lost to Kosciusko 3-0, but bounced back with a 7-0 victory over Riverside.
