The Town of Duck Hill will have its Christmas Parade on Saturday, December 14. at 1 p.m. The theme this year is “It’s Christmas Time.” The Friends of the Duck Hill Library will have pictures with Santa before the parade begins from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.
Also, The Duck Hill Better Together Committee will hold it second annual town tree lighting. It was originally set for Nov. 30 but due to rain, it was moved to Dec. 14 at 6 p.m.
In other Town of Duck Hill news, Adam Kirk of Grenada has been appointed the new town attorney, replacing Ray Baum. Kirk, who works at Daly and Kirk, PLLC in Grenada, was appointed by the board during its Monday night meeting.
Baum announced in October he was retiring and gave the municipalities he represents time to find another attorney. Kirk will begin as attorney beginning January 1.
