As Mayor Bobby Howell, the board of aldermen, and the administration of the Town of Kilmichael enter a new year, they are beginning with a few projects underway and plans for more in the works. The town began 2021 with newly-appointed Chief of Police Barry Gregg at the helm after longtime chief David Eldridge retired.

Local COVID cases top 1,000

Both Montgomery and Carroll County have now reached over 1,000 cases of COVID-19 since the pandemic began in March.  In addition, Montgomery County is reporting two new deaths this week.

Coronavirus cases continue rapid rise in area counties

Montgomery County has now reached over 900 cases of COVID-19 with Carroll County not far from reaching that 900-case milestone as incidences continue to increase. Carroll County has reported 893 cases and Montgomery County has reported 923 cases since March 11.
