When Christian Ostrander hired another pitching coach with pedigree, some wondered if it signaled a shift – a step back from the part of the game that has defined his career. A passing of the torch for him to focus on head coaching duties.
But, that was never the plan.
“I will never not be a pitching coach,” Ostrander said. “That’s one of my strengths. I told him that on the front end. I said, ‘I want you to come in here and treat it like it’s yours, but we’re going to do it together.’”

The Senate Government Structure Committee advanced two bills last week aimed at increasing the state’s cybersecurity against hackers.
The committee passed amended versions of SB 2625 and SB 2636, after unanimously voting to add reverse repealers to the measures to allow further work on the bills.
