Through the years when I attended the winter conference it has always been very informative with the MML legislative agenda. We got good news in Mississippi this past Sunday. Ole Miss made the College Football Playoffs, Southern Miss will head to the New Orleans Bowl and Mississippi State will play in the Duke Mayo Bowl.
The Rebels were ranked sixth in the final rankings released Sunday. Ole Miss will host No. 11 Tulane on Saturday, December 20, at 2:30 p.m. The winner of the game will take on No. 3 Georgia in the Sugar Bowl on January 1. It's odd that Ole Miss got into the playoffs only to play a team (Tulane) it has played for a chance to play a team it has already played (Georgia).
