Bradley Roberson, superintendent of the Oxford School District, wrote that a state lawmaker challenged him: “If not school choice, then what?” Roberson has a couple of good ideas worth considering. Anything like them would transform education in Mississippi.

We got good news in Mississippi this past Sunday. Ole Miss made the College Football Playoffs, Southern Miss will head to the New Orleans Bowl and Mississippi State will play in the Duke Mayo Bowl.
The Rebels were ranked sixth in the final rankings released Sunday. Ole Miss will host No. 11 Tulane on Saturday, December 20, at 2:30 p.m. The winner of the game will take on No. 3 Georgia in the Sugar Bowl on January 1. It's odd that Ole Miss got into the playoffs only to play a team (Tulane) it has played for a chance to play a team it has already played (Georgia).

America is sinking further into a crisis of trust. It doesn’t trust elected officials or the institutions on which they serve. It doesn’t trust the courts or the news media. It doesn’t trust science.
In all of these areas, President Donald Trump and his administration have made the crisis of trust worse.
Nowhere is that more apparent – or more dangerous – than in the distrust toward vaccines being fueled within the administration by Trump’s secretary of health and human services, Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

With Thanksgiving being a time for family and friends to get together, enjoy food, and give thanks for all of their blessings during the year, the Thanksgiving season is generally a happy time. However, for some families, Thanksgiving is not a happy time because they are unable to have a Thanksgiving meal for themselves or their family.
