Two men were bound over to await the action of the Montgomery County Grand Jury for a charge of trafficking.
Robert Knox and William Murry went before Judge Keith Stokes Roberts in Winona Municipal Court. Knox and Murry were charged with aggravated trafficking of a controlled substance after being arrested on Tuesday, April 12.
Both men, represented by Kevin Horan, chose to waive their preliminary hearing, and their misdemeanor charges were remanded to the file.
Chief Roshaun Daniels said that Knox and Murry were stopped on a routine traffic stop on Highway 407 on Tuesday April 12. He said during the stop, officers found a half pound of crystal methamphetamine. Daniels said the two were taken into custody and transported to the Carroll-Montgomery Regional Correctional Facility. The two later bonded out.
Knox’s bond has been set at $25,000 and Murry’s has been set at $75,000.
Also, a woman had her initial appearance.
Vanessa Dawn Horne had an initial appearance on a felony possession of a controlled substance charge. Public Defender Lee Bailey was appointed, and she will have her preliminary hearing this morning in Winona Municipal Court.
