The Winona Christian School girls finished sixth and the boys eighth in the MAIA Class AA State Track meet last week in Jackson.
The Lady Stars got a first-place finish out of Bella Roberts who won the 300-meter hurdles for an individual state championship.
The girls scored 35 points in the meet won by Central Holmes while the WCS boys tied for eighth with 23 points. Centreville won the even with 155 points.

In the girls 800-meter run, K.K. Mullens was fourth with a time of 2:41.90.
In the girls 3,200-meter run, Sara Burden White was seventh with a time of 14:48.96.
In the girls 100-meter hurdles, Bella Roberts was fifth with a time of 19.01.
In the girls 300-meter hurdles, Bella Roberts won the event with a time of 49.18, just edging out Jewell Vandevere from Benton Academy who had a time of 49.36.
Winona Christian finished seventh in the girls 4x800-meter relay as Sara Burden White, Swayze Marquedt, K.K. Mullens and Lennie Wood finished with a tie of 12:19.79.
In the girls triple jump, Bella Roberts finished second with a jump of 32 feet and 7.75 inches, just behind Laura Kathryn Rutledge of Central Holmes.
In the boys 400-meter dash, Dalton Wiggins finished fourth with a time of 55. 65.
In the boys 800-meter dash, Reed Roberts finished eighth with a time of 2:36.62 — In the boys, 1,600-meter run, Jake Ware finished second with a time of 5:19.56 while Clinton Christian’s Christian Parks won the event.
In the boys 3,200-meter run, Trace Holland finished eighth with a time of 13.14.38.
In the boys 110-meter hurdles, Kyle Nabors was seventh with a time of 19.45 — In the boys 4x100-meter relay, Winona Christian was seventh overall with a time of 48.32 as Thomas Costilow, Choice Diffey, Corley Goss and Kyle Nabors ran.
In the 4x200-meter relay, Thomas Costilow, Choice Diffey, Corley Goss and Kyle Nabors ran a time of 1:41.07 to finish seventh.
In the boys 4x800-meter relay, Winona finished sixth as Trace Holland, Collin Parkinson, John White and Jake Ware finished with a time of 10:03.25.
