Winona Christian’s Bella Roberts and Logan Graham will have their shot at a state championship this week.
The mixed doubles pair finished second in the Class AA North State tennis tournament last week.
Roberts and Graham won their first-round match as they beat Greenville St. Joseph in three sets, winning 7-6, 2-6, 6-1 to advance to the finals and qualify for the state tournament.
In the finals, Graham and Roberts lost to Oak Hill 6-2, 7-6. Graham and Roberts had beaten Oak Hill in the regular season 7-5, 6-3.
The Class AA State tournament was scheduled for Wednesday at the Ridgeland Tennis Center. Graham and Roberts were scheduled to play Glenbrook in the semifinals. Glenbrook was the No. 1 team from the South after beating Brookhaven in the South AA finals last week.
