Each Carroll Academy basketball team came away with one win last week in the Manchester tournament.
The Rebels got a pair of double-double games from Reese Fulton as they beat River Oaks 63-48 and lost to Clinton Christian 66-61.
The Lady Rebels got a game-winning basket from Gracie Turner to take a 40-39 win over Park Place but then dropped a 39-37 decision to Clinton Christian.
Carroll will return from the holiday break as they will host Winona Christian in a key district contest on Friday, Jan. 4. Then on Tuesday, Jan. 8, Carroll will host Oak Hill in a district contest and will travel to Kirk in a non-district contest on Friday, Jan. 11.

Park Place 39
The Lady Rebels fell behind early but rallied to take a one-point win over the Lady Crusaders.
Carroll started out slow as Park Place built a 14-5 lead in the first period. Carroll then bounced back in the second as they outscored Park Place 15-6 to tie the game at 20-20 at the half.
Carroll outscored Park Place 10-9 in the third and each team scored 10 points apiece in the fourth. Carroll’s Gracie Turner made a layup with one second left to win the game for the Lady Rebels.
Sandi Rhea Tackett led Carroll with 12 points, seven rebounds and four steals. Turner had 11 points and five rebounds while Chloe Richardson had 10 points.

River Oaks 48
The Rebels used a big second half to take down the Mustangs in the Manchester Tournament.
Carroll jumped out to an 11-4 lead in the first period and led 22-12 a the half. The Rebels then outscored the Mustangs 24-13 in the third to take a 46-25 lead into the fourth.
Logan Taylor had a big night for the Rebels as he scored 22 points. Reese Fulton had another double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds. Brett Harper and Austin Smith each had 13 points apiece.

Carroll Academy 61
Clinton led from the beginning but had to hold on for a five-point win over the Rebels.
Clinton led 17-14 at the end of the first and each team scored 15 points in the second as Clinton led 32-29 at the half.
Clinton pulled away in the third period as they outscored Carroll 16-8 to take a 48-37 lead going into the fourth. Carroll outscored Clinton 24-18 in the fourth but couldn’t complete the comeback.
Reese Fulton led Carroll with 28 points and 14 rebounds while Austin Smith had 11 points. Brett Harper and Hunter Grantham each had seven points apiece.

Carroll Academy 37
The Lady Warriors overcame a four-point, fourth-quarter deficit to take a two-point win over the Lady Rebels.
Each team scored five points in the first period and Clinton took a 16-14 lead at the half. Carroll outscored Clinton 15-9 in the third to take a 29-25 lead going into the fourth. The Lady Warriors used a 14-8 advantage in the fourth to take the win.
Sandi Rhea Tackett led Carroll with 13 points while Gracie Turner had eight points and 10 rebounds. Lanie Claire Dunn had six points while Chloe Richardson had four steals.
