Winona Christian only got in one game against rival Carroll last week but made it count.
The Stars got a no-hitter from Blake Marlow to beat the Rebels 12-1 on Tuesday. Winona lost a Monday game to Pillow Academy, falling 5-2 to the Mustangs.
Winona will take on Oak Hill this week in a key district series with the Raiders. A sweep by the Stars would give them second in the district and secure a playoff berth. A loss to Oak Hill would eliminate the Stars from playoff contention. The series is set to begin on Friday at Oak Hill. Tuesday’s game was rained out and will be played Monday, April 15 at Winona.
The second game against Carroll was rained out and has been rescheduled for Tuesday, April 16. The Rebels were scheduled to play at Marshall on Tuesday and host the Patriots on Friday. The Rebels will then host North Sunflower on Monday, April 15 for senior night.

The Stars got a five-inning no-hitter from Blake Marlow and took a run-rule win over the Rebels on Tuesday.
Winona had a trio of four-run innings, scoring in the first, third and fifth innings. Carroll scored one in the second inning.
Winona had eight hits in the contest as Blake Marlow was 2-for-3 with a home run, two runs scored and two RBIs. Colby Marlow was 2-for-4 with three RBIs while Choyce Diffey had a double and scored two runs. Reed Roberts singed, walked twice and had two RBIs while Dalton Wiggins and Cade Marlow each scored twice.
Maddox Carpenter scored Carroll’s only run after being hit by a pitch.
Blake Marlow pitched all five innings without giving up a hit but allowed one run on three walks while striking out three.
Pillow Academy 5, Winona Christian 2
The Mustangs built a 5-0 lead and held on to take a three-run win over the Stars on Monday.
Pillow scored two in the second and three in the fifth to take the win while Winona scored two in the sixth inning.
Pillow outhit Winona 6-4 in the contest. Corley Goss singled and strove in a run while Reed Roberts doubled and scored a run. Latham Hill also singled and scored while John White had a single.
Cade Marlow started the mound and pitched 4 2/3 innings and gave up five runs, only one earned on three hits and five walks while striking out six. Deuce Irwin pitched the last 2 1/3 innings and scattered three hits and struck out two.
