Winona slow-pitch softball dropped a 14-4 game to North Pontotoc in Class II, Region 2 play.
“We didn’t hit the ball well. We only had five hits,” said coach Steven Helms.
Tommesha Brown had a home run, Tyra Westhersby two singles and Katy Ware and Allyn-Claire Gant each singled.
A region game with South Pontotoc was suspended after four innings due to rain. It will be completed at Winona September 27, followed by a second game between the two teams.
The Lady Tigers entertained Shannon Tuesday for Senior Night. They play at French Camp Thursday will be home against Ethel Saturday.
