The Carroll Academy fast-pitch softball team was looking to bounce back from a four-loss week with a pair of contests this week.
CA lost a tight district game to Winona Christian 10-9, then dropped a trio of games in the Bayou Tournament. This week the Lady Rebels were scheduled to travel to Oak Hill on Monday and host Marshall on Tuesday.
The Lady Rebels had just three hits as Lee took a 6-1 win on Saturday at the Bayou Tournament.
Lee scored single runs in the first and third and five in the second.
Carroll scored its only run in the third when Sandy Tackett led off with a triple and scored on a Meri Brynn Reeves single. Bella Carte also had a single.
The Lady Rebels struggled in the field in a 10-1 loss to Benton as they committed 12 errors in a three-inning, time-limit game in the second game of the day at Bayou.
Sandy Tackett pitched three innings and gave up just three hits and three walks while striking out three. All 10 runs were unearned.
Carroll scored in the first as Tackett led off with a double and scored on a single by Meri Brynn Reeves.
In the third game of the day for the Lady Rebels, Washington used a pair of big innings and took advantage of Carroll errors to take a 13-0 win.
Washington scored five in the second and eight in the third on seven hits.
Peyton Perry took the loss and pitched all three innings as all 13 runs were unearned.
Sandy Tackett had two singles while Meri Brynn Reeves and Helen Claire Cobb also had singles.
