A memorial graveside service for Mrs. Lessie B. Sullivan of Winona was held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 27, at Oakwood Cemetery in Winona. The Rev. Howard Beam officiated the service.
Mrs. Lessie B. Sullivan, 92, passed away Thursday, July 25, 2024, at Tyler Holmes Memorial Hospital in Winona. She was born to Robert and Lula Peacock Bright on June 5, 1932. She was a member of Shepard's Chapel in Gravette, Ark. Lessie worked for 42 years as a Medical Laboratory Technician. Seventeen of those years, she worked for Dr. H.L. Howard and the remaining twenty-five years she worked for Tyler Holmes Memorial Hospital.
She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who devoted her life to her family. She was affectionately known as Dean to her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter, Carrie Box (Mike) of Winona; son, John Sullivan (Patricia) of Greenfield, Ind.; seven grandchildren, Brian Westoby, Katie Thomas, Alaina McQueen, Joey Westoby, Will Sullivan, Jack Sullivan, and Logan Box; twelve great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Morris Sullivan, and two sisters Corrine Brown and Ann Heath.
