Glenda Faye Dorman Richardson, 79, of Kosciusko, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2024, at the Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. Visitation was from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 15, and from noon until 2 p.m. at Jordan Funeral Home in Kosciusko. Funeral services followed at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 16, at the Jordan Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Bethany Cemetery. Pastor Stephanie Welch and the Rev. Bobby Palmertree officiated.
Glenda was born July 5, 1945, in Montgomery County, Mississippi to Percy Lee Dorman and Katie Mae Ashley Dorman. She was a member of Bethany Church of God. Glenda worked at Walmart for many years and retired from Fargo Assembly. She enjoyed shopping, visiting with family, and fishing.
Glenda is survived by her daughters, Michelle (Michael) Corr of Kosciusko and Sherry Ballard of Kosciusko; sons, James Hester of Kosciusko, Jerry (Gina) Hester of Olive Branch, and stepson, Curtis Richardson of Kosciusko; 15 grandchildren;11 great-grandchildren; brother, Arlene Eugene Dorman of Kosciusko; sister, Linda Henderson of French Camp; brother-in-law, Ronald (Regina) Richardson of Brandon, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Percy and Katie Dorman, and her husband, Gerald Richardson.
Josh Corr, Joey Hester, Hunter Ballard, Owen Hester, Kris Corr, Billy Pearson, Andrew Moorehead, Ronald Ballard, Eli Mitchell, and Tommy Mitchell were the pallbearers.
Memorials may be sent to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and Bethany Church of God Cemetery.
