Bond was reduced for a Winona man who is accused of shooting and injuring two.
In last week’s session of Winona City Court, Eddie O. Green, 28 of Winona went before Judge Alan D. Lancaster for his initial appearance. Green is charged with two counts of aggravated assault for a shooting that happened April 12 on Academy Street in Winona.
He allegedly shot two people in the incident. Lancaster set Green’s bail at $25,000.
Also, Deon M. Jones, 18, was bound over to the Montgomery County Grand Jury after Judge Alan D. Lancaster found there was there was enough evidence presented in a preliminary hearing to send Jones’ case to a Montgomery County Grand Jury.
Jones is accused of molesting (touching child or mentally defective or physically helpless person for lustful purposes) a child under the age of 16 for an incident that occurred April 8 in Winona. His bond remains at $50,000.
Lancaster continued a hearing for Lavarius J. Peterson, 22, of Lexington until May 9 due to further evidence needed in the case. Peterson is accused of armed robbery, simple assault and disturbing the peace. He pled guilty to disturbing the peace but a continuance was issued for the charge of armed robbery and simple assault.
