Saturday will kick off the Christmas season in Montgomery County with the annual Christmas parade and lighting of the square in downtown Kilmichael.
The parade will take place at 5 p.m. with the lighting following. Lineup will begin on School Road at 4:30 p.m. and participants are asked to enter School Road from Highway 413.
Organizers said entries from other parades are welcomed and four-wheelers are not allowed.
Those who want to enter, should pick up an entry form at town hall or contact Alderman Charles Austin at 662-417-4221.
Monday, Dec. 3, at 7 p.m. the city of Winona will hold its annual parade. The parade route will be down Summit Street to Front Street to Magnolia Street. In order to be entered for judging, floats must represent the theme “Angels Among Us.”
Parade lineup will be at 5:30 p.m. and participants are not allowed to enter from Highway 51. All participants are asked to come in from Middleton Road onto Mission Street. Those who would like to participate in the parade or purchase an official parade t-shirt can pick up a form from City Hall or print one off from www.winonams.us.
Entries must be hand delivered back to Winona City Hall or e-mailed to Deputy Assistant City Clerk Tiffany Everett at tiffany_everett@winonams.org or City Clerk June Williams at cityclerk@winonams.org. Forms must be turned in by Friday.
Duck Hill’s Christmas parade will be Saturday, Dec. 8, at 2 p.m. on Main Street. Lineup will begin at 1:30 p.m. For more information, contact Duck Hill Town Hall at 565-2351.
