The Carroll County Board of Supervisors held an emergency meeting at 10 a.m. in the courthouse in Vaiden Thursday morning to discuss the closure of County Road 53 in Beat 4.
Supervisor Claude Fluker said due to the Easter Sunday storm, he has to replace three culverts. Fluker said Leflore County has agreed to come and help him with the work of installing the culverts, and once Leflore County has completed their work, Tim Armstrong will complete the rest of the work.
Fluker said the money to pay for the culverts came out of the bridge fund, and it was declared an emergency. The board approved for the Leflore County to come and assist Fluker with the work and for Armstrong to come and complete the work.
The board recessed until April 27 at 9 a.m. in Vaiden.
