J.Z. George had three wins and a loss in the past week. The Jaguars swept Ruleville Central in a doubleheader and defeated Holmes County Central, but lost to Humphreys County.
The Jaguars received 35 walks in beating Ruleville Central 21-11 and 13-4.
In the first game, J.Z. George trailed 11-7 after 2½ innings, then scored six runs in the bottom of the third and eight in the fourth. James Pridgen and Michael Shute had two hits. Pridgen scored twice and drove in three runs.
Michael Bankston allowed one earned run,with five strikeouts in five innings in the nightcap. Pridgen had two singles, a double and five RBIs.
The Jaguars made the most of only three hits against Holmes County Central for a 13-1 victory. Pridgen, Josh Wiggins and Robby Clunan each scored twice. Fisher Ratliff pitched one inning, striking out the side.
In a 9-7 loss to Humphreys County, J.Z. George trailed 9-2 after four innings, then scored five runs in the fifth, but was held scoreless the last two innings. Robby Clunan was the Jaguars' only multiple hitter with two singles. Shute had two RBIs.
