WINONA -- The Montgomery County Board of Supervisors voted to keep District 2 Supervisors Keith McGee as the board president, with District 5 Supervisor Janet Harper serving as vice president. This is the second year McGee and Harper have held the board’s leadership seats.
In other business:
• The board accepted the resignation of Deputy Jody Windham from the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department. The board voted to hire Mac Burrell as a deputy. Burrell will join the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department from the Kosciusko Police Department.
• The board approved the attendance of Coroner Allan Pratt at the annual Mississippi Coroner’s Convention.
The board voted to recess until January 16 at 8 a.m. at the Montgomery County Courthouse.
