Funeral services for Mr. John David Arendale, Sr. of New Albany, formerly of Winona, were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Sept. 21, in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel. Burial, with Military Honors, followed at 2 p.m. in Lehrton Cemetery in Ruleville. The Rev. Eddie Dodd officiated the services.

County Road 83 gets $800K upgrade in Carroll County

County Road 83 in Beat 1 was overlayed with a Mat and Seal project designed by Willis Engineering and constructed by JJ Ferguson Sand & Gravel Co. this last summer. Jim Neill (Supervisor Beat 1) said the project was 2.3 miles in length and cost approximately $800,000.
