WINONA – The Christmas season in Winona doesn’t officially start until the annual “Lessons and Carols” service at Immanuel Church.

This year, the service will be held Tuesday, Dec. 2, beginning at 6 p.m. Immanuel Church is located on the corner of Summit Street & Fairground Street.

Stolen $60K tractor recovered

Carroll County Deputies recently recovered a stolen tractor valued at $60,000. The tractor was stolen in Carroll County and was eventually tracked down near Yazoo County. Carroll Deputies opened the investigation and worked tirelessly to locate the stolen tractor.

The Wiona Christian School boys basketball team played its first game of the 2025-26 basketball season Monday night as they hosted longtime rival Carroll Academy.

When the final whistle blew, Coach Joey Johnson’s Stars had won a 41-15 decision.
