Funeral services for Joan Hardin McNeer Cox of Winona were held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 27, in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in Winona Garden of Memory. The Rev. Ed McDaniel officiated the services. Pallbearers were Matt Surrell, Cole Surrell, Kelby Surrell, Ben McNeer, Luke McNeer, and Jacob Chambley.

The Winona Board of Aldermen held a brief meeting on Dec. 17, lasting less than 20 minutes. With no scheduled guests, the Board efficiently handled routine business. All members attended except Ward 2 Alderman Travis Johnson.

Blessings For All Empowered By Faith partnered with Grenada Walmart and local law enforcement to bring a new program to our area titled Shop with a Cop. 21 children were referred to Shop with a Cop. The idea of the program is to build relationships with the law-enforcement and kids.
