The Carroll Academy girls picked up a big win to finish out the regular season as they prepare for the district tournament.

Lady Tigers go 1-2

The Winona High School girls basketball team was able to pick up one win in three games in action last week.

The Lady Tigers knocked off visiting O’Bannon High School 42-30 on Jan. 21 as they led 13-7 after the first period, 21-20 at the half and 34-28 after the third frame.

Stars roll past North Delta

The Winona Christian boys are getting primed up for the upcoming district tournament.

The Stars added another win to their list as they hammered North Delta 71-57 in their only game last week.

The Lady Stars lost 46-26 to the Lady Wave.

Brenda Braswell Card

Funeral services for Mrs. Brenda Braswell Card were held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 25, in the Oliver Funeral Home Chapel, with burial following in Oakwood Cemetery. The Rev. Don Smith officiated the services. Pallbearers were Julian Wade Campbell, Cody Horn, Tanner Bartlett, Tucker Bartlett, Dylan Bartlett, and Jayden Bartlett.
