Duck Hill Bogue Creek Festival this Saturday

The annual Duck Hill Bogue Creek Festival kicks off this Saturday, Sep. 6 in the Duck Hill Pecan Grove. This annual community event draws crowds yearly with its promise of good old fashioned family fun. Each year the event boasts a wide variety of crafts and food vendors as well as kid-friendly entertainment.

Two dead following Christmas Eve shooting

Four people were shot in Greenwood on Christmas Eve, two of them fatally.
Leflore County Coroner Debra Sanders said she received a call at 8:20 p.m. Wednesday in regard to a shooting incident on the 300 block of East Market Street.
