The recalled Montgomery County Grand Jury handed down indictments last week, and arraignments were held Tuesday before Judge George Mitchell.
Johnny Scott Glasgow, also known as Johnny Manasco, of Fayette, Ala., was indicted for armed robbery. Glasgow is accused of robbing the Bank of Kilmichael in Winona on September 7, 2020.
Glasgow was represented by public defender Lee Bailey, and trial was set for April 14.
The grand jury handed down two separate indictments for Allen Pearson, Jr. He is facing a total of three counts of touching a child for lustful purposes. Pearson was arraigned Tuesday and was represented by Brad Daigneault of Horan and Horan.
Daigneault motioned the court for a reduction of Pearson’s $100,000 bond to $60,000 and the use of an ankle monitoring bracelet, however, the prosecution objected to the motion. Mitchell ruled in favor of the prosecution and denied a reduction in bond.
Pearson’s trial was set for April 5.
William Davis of Pheba was indicted on one count of simple assault on a law enforcement officers and one count of simple assault on a school official. Davis stands accused of allegedly assaulting a school resource officer and a school official when he walked into the Winona Career and Technical Center on November 6, 2020.
Marcus Cole of Winona was indicted for aggravated assault in connection with the June 18, 2020, beating of a woman on Greensboro Street in Winona. According to the Winona Police Department at the time of the incident, the woman was “hit in the face with a wooden plank, metal rod, and a shovel,” and had to be airlifted to Jackson for medical treatment.
Bond was continued at $25,000, and a trial date was set for April 12.
A.C. Caldwell was indicted for aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer and felony fleeing a law enforcement officer in a motor vehicle. The indictment carries a sentencing enhancement for habitual offender.
Janna Knight was indicted for acquiring the possession of a controlled substance, hydrocodone, by misrepresentation. Public defender Neal Marlow was appointed counsel, and her bond of $5,000 was continued. A trial date was set for April 5.
Rodney Peery of Winona was indicted on one count of aggravated assault and two counts of shooting into a motor vehicle in connection with a shooting that occurred at Pilot Travel Center in Winona the morning of April 8, 2020.
Peery stands accused of shooting Eddie Green of Winona, as well as into Green’s vehicle where two children sat and into another vehicle nearby, which was occupied by a female passenger.
Michael Clay was indicted for felony driving under the influence.
Michael Miller was indicted for felony driving under the influence and is facing a sentencing enhancement as a habitual offender.
Robert Coach was indicted for burglary of a building other than a dwelling. He is being represented by public defender Lee Bailey.
Mark Kirkwood was indicted for felony driving under the influence.
