The Winona boys cross country team finished second in a meet at French Camp with a team score of 70. St. Aloysius won the meet with a score of 67.
Winona also participated in the girls meet, but with only four runners was not able to compete for the team title.
Winona boys were led by Noah Durham, who was fourth in the 5,000 meter time of 19:51.21. He was followed by Sam Matriasciano, ninth in 21:13.2, Aidan Windham, 18th (23:18.08), Thomas Rosamond, 19th (23:22.40), Nathan Henson, 20th (23:39.58), and Jermorius Sanders 32nd (25:48.14).
Winona’s top girl was Murry Catherine Alderman, who crossed the finish line 27th in 29:35.08. Then came Anna Beth Walton, 29th in 30:14.74, Bella Durham, 35th in 33:06.78, and Bailey Holly, 36th in 33:38.9.
French Camp was the girls winner. Individual winners were Jon Gant of Kosciusko for the boys and Sloane Vinson of Madison Ridgeland Academy for the girls.
