The Town of North Carrollton welcomed owners Towanda Hodges-Ware and Henry Ware with Bright Beginnings Learning Center recently. The new daycare center is located on Jefferson Street in North Carrollton.
Ware said she wanted to open a location in Carroll County after learning that a few of her parents drive to her centers in Greenwood for childcare.
“I learned that there was a need for a center here,” she said. “And we began looking, and I know it wasn’t anyone but God because the building we were looking at, they wanted a lot for it. And my husband woke up out of his sleep one night and said ‘There’s a property for sale in North Carrollton.’”
She said after looking at the property, they made an offer, and they got the building. Ware said her husband remodeled the entire building.
Ware said the building can hold up to 35 students, and there are currently 18 enrolled.
“We have space available for families that are looking,” she said.
This is the fourth location for the Wares, they own three in Greenwood located on: 2204 Portwood Street, 1629 Carrollton Avenue and 900 West Claiborne Avenue.
It also helps that Ware’s location is in between Marshall Elementary and across from the J.Z. George High School Football field.
“We also want to help to bring jobs to the area,” she said. “We’re here to help.”
Ware said she’s hired three so far and she’s looking to hire more.
Bright Beginnings Learning Center hours of operation are 6:30 a.m. until 5 p.m. Monday through Friday. The center takes children from six weeks until five years of age. They offer part-time and full-time care. For more information, contact Ware at 662-299-2929.
