A Montgomery County man died in an all-terrain vehicle wreck in Winona on Monday night.
“I was called to go out to a motor vehicle accident – 4-wheeler,” said Montgomery County Coroner Allan Pratt. “I was told he lost control.”
Pratt said he pronounced David L. Nix, 51, dead at the scene at 7:35 p.m.
Mississippi Highway Patrol, the agency in charge of the investigation, sent a reconstructionist to the scene at the wreck on Stafford Wells Road about a mile south of Mississippi Highway 407, according to Pratt.
Nix’s body will be taken to a lab for an autopsy, Pratt said.
“Everyone involved is in my prayers,” said Pratt.
MHP could not be reached for details, and Winona Police Chief Roshaun Daniels said he would release a statement after MHP completes their report of their investigation.
