A routine traffic stop in Carroll County netted a handgun, 36 bags of marijuana, 23 bags of cocaine and methamphetamine and landed a Sidon man in the Carroll-Montgomery Regional Correctional Facility.
According to a press release from the Carroll County Sheriff’s Department, Neno Levius Brown, 29, of Sidon was arrested on Friday, December 31, 2021 after a traffic stop near the intersection of Highways 82 and 35.
The release stated that Brown was charged with two counts of felony possession of a controlled substance, possession of a weapon by a convicted felon and various traffic violations.
Newly appointed Northern District judge, Judge Greg Avant, set bond for Brown at $50,000 during an initial appearance on Monday, January 3, 2022. Brown remains in custody of the Carroll-Montgomery Regional Correctional Facility.
