In celebration of National Library Week, April 6 - April 12, Friends of the Winona-Montgomery County Library are pleased to welcome author Scott Hendrix as guest speaker on Monday, April 7. This event will be held in the Education Building of Moore Memorial Methodist Church, beginning at 11:30 a.m., with finger food, followed by a book talk and signing. Personal copies may be obtained following the program.
Scott is the author of three novels: "The Garden Spot", its sequel, "The Resting Spot" and "Justine", which was recently published. His short story, "The Breakout" won second runner - up in the 2025 Saturday Evening Post's Great American Fiction contest. His first novel, "The Garden Spot" was listed as a top ten read in Mississippi.
Scott is a life-long resident of Louisville, Miss., and graduated from Mississippi State University in 1989, with a BA in Communication.
