The Kilmichael Volunteer Fire Department rushed to the scene of a structure and trailer fire on Highway 82, east of Kilmichael, shortly before noon on Friday, April 11. The fire engulfed both the structure and trailer at the location.
KVFD deployed four fire trucks and one brush truck to battle the flames. The Poplar Creek Volunteer Fire Department provided support with an additional truck at the scene. In total, ten volunteer firefighters responded.
Firefighters remained on the scene for approximately two and a half hours, as crews worked to contain and extinguish the fire. Over 9,000 gallons of water were used to successfully extinguish the fire.
Fortunately, officials confirmed that no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
