KILMICHAEL - The Board of Directors of the Bank of Kilmichael has appointed Kent Mortimer President and CEO. Mortimer has been in banking for over 20 years and joined Bank of Kilmichael in 2010. Kent most recently served as Chief Risk Officer for the bank. He graduated from Mississippi State University in 2001 with a degree in General Business, and obtained a Masters in Business Administration from Mississippi State University in 2002. Kent is also a graduate of the Graduate School of Banking at LSU. He served as the President of the Rotary Club of Winona and past President of the Mississippi Young Bankers and served as Chair of the Lending Committee of Mississippi Bankers Association.
The bank’s board also appointed Buddy Mortimer as Chairman of the Board of Directors. “Kent has done an outstanding job for our Bank in his various roles. We are very fortunate to have his leadership going forward as we continue to serve our communities”, said Buddy Mortimer. Kent Mortimer’s father, Rodney, will serve as Chairman Emeritus of the Board of Directors. “I am so proud of Kent and his decision to return home to Kilmichael. His vast banking background and dedication to the communities we serve allowed him to become the fourth generation in our family to become President and CEO of the Bank of Kilmichael”, said Rodney.
Kent is married to Britanny McCreary Mortimer. They have three children, Hughes, Wiley, and Vera Love. Kent and his family are members of Moore Memorial United Methodist Church and reside in Kilmichael.
