Blue Book of Record for Generations

As 2021 draws to a close, and the dawn of 2022 will soon be upon us, it is worth noting that one of the most referenced publications will soon be available. I talked with the Secretary of State’s office Monday morning and the Mississippi 2020-2024 statistical register known as the “Blue Book” will be available after the first of the year.

Emergency response takes good coordination

It takes a coordinated effort in any endeavor, whether it’s an emergency response or putting on a Christmas parade. I’m proud of the effort last week when county and municipal officials participated in the Mississippi Emergency Management Class on incidents here in Carroll County.

Small town improvements beneficial

My mother was a 1954 graduate of J.Z. George High School here in North Carrollton, and going back a little further, my father was a 1952 graduate. I used to always say how they walked the sidewalks on George Street back during their school days. Those sidewalk have served through many decades, but they aren’t in the shape of years ago.
