Voters selected a new constable during Tuesday’s runoff election to serve the Southern District of Carroll County.
Democratic challenger Travis Gatewood won 587 votes to incumbent Roshaun Daniels’ 413, according to Circuit Clerk Durward Stanton.
In the Democratic race for Beat Four Supervisor, incumbent Claude Fluker won 307 votes, and challenger Leon Hallmon Jr. secured 171, Stanton said.
Fluker will face Republican challenger Charles Humphrey in the Nov. 7 general election.
In the Democratic race for Beat Five Supervisor, Randy Browning won 308 votes, and Christy Noah secured 217.
Browning will be on the ballot again in November running against Independent Frankie Robbins, Stanton said.
Currently, the results are unofficial, Stanton said, since there are 13 affidavits to be counted. However, there are not enough to affect the outcome of Tuesday’s election. Absentee voting for the November general election will begin on Sept. 23.
