The Montgomery County boys finished fourth in the 5-1A meet held at Winona High School last weekt and fifth in the girls meet.
Durant won the 5-1A boys meet with 98 points. McAdams had 79, French Camp 74, Montgomery County 55 and Ethel 13. In the girls meet, it was French Camp 83, Durant 79, Ethel 60, McAdams 55 and Montgomery County 13.
The Montgomery County boys took first in the 1600 relay and 3200 relay. Rashaun Baker, Gregory Georgia, Cedric Bibbs and Devonte Williams comprised the winning team in both relays.
The region meet will be Thursday at Ridgeland high school with competitors from districts 5 and 6.
Montgomery County boys who qualified: J.J. Williams, 100, third; Devonte Williams, 400, second; Bibbs, 1600, second; Hernando Martinez-Reyes, discus, third; 400 relay, second; and 800 relay, third.
Girls who qualified: Shaqualla Gayden, 400, third; Trina Rush, 800, fourth; Ty Monduhano, discus second.
