The Winona Christian girls team won two out of three contests this past week while the boys also managed to pick up a win.
The Lady Stars beat Marshall 46-41 and Lee Academy 33-29 but dropped a district contest to Oak Hill 54-48.
The Stars picked up a 45-33 win over Lee while falling 61-38 to Marshall and 36-25 to Oak Hill.
Winona Christian will return to action this week as they host Marshall on Tuesday and play at Benton on Thursday. They end the week with a home contest against Winston.

The Lady Stars used a big third period to overcome a first-half deficit to beat the Lady Patriots last week in a key district contest.
Marshall led 14-1 at the end of the first period and 26-23 at the half. The Lady Stars then took control of the game in the third as they outscored the Lady Patriots 12-3 to take a 35-29 lead into the fourth. Marshall had a 12-11 advantage in the fourth but couldn’t come back as Winona held on for the win.
Sara Burden White led a balanced scoring attack with 13 points while Bella Roberts and Jada Mims each had 10 points apiece.
In the girls junior varsity game, Winona Christian won 31-23 as Bella Roberts had 16 points.
Marshall Academy boys 61,
Winona Christian 38
The Patriots dominate the first half and took a 23-point win over the Stars.
Marshall led 18-5 at the end of the first and outscored the Stars 24-4 in the second to lead 42-9 at the half. The Stars fought back in the second half as they outscored the Patriots 16-7 in the third and 13-12 in the fourth for the final margin.
Reed Roberts led Winona Christian with 23 points while Latham Hill had nine points.
Oak Hill girls 54,

The Lady Raiders built a first-half lead and held on to take a six-point win over the Lady Stars.
Oak Hill led 10-6 at the end of the first and 26-17 at the half. The Lady Stars cut into that lead in the second half as they outscored the Lady Raiders 12-11 in the third and 19-17 in the fourth to take the win.
Jada Mims led the Lady Stars with 21 points while Sara Beth White had nine points. Elise Diffey also had eight points in the loss.
In the junior varsity game, Oak Hill won 36-30 as Bella Roberts and Audrey Eldridge each had nine points apiece.

The Raiders outscored the Stars in every period to take an 11-point win.
In a low-scoring affair, Oak Hill led 5-3 at the end of the first and 12-7 at the half. The Raiders continued to extend their lead in the second half, outscoring the Stars 12-9 in each the third and fourth periods.
Latham Hill led Winona Christian with nine points while Reed Roberts and Deuce Irwin had six points apiece.

Lee, Ark. 29
The Lady Stars used a balanced scoring attack as they took a four-point win over Lady Cougars on Saturday.
Lee led 9-8 at the end of the first period but Winona held a slim 16-15 lead at the half. The Lady Stars outscored the Lady Cougars 10-7 in the third to take a 26-22 lead going into the fourth where each team scored seven points.
Jada Mims and Sara Burden White each scored 11 points apiece while Olivia Dendy scored six points and Elise Diffey scored five points.

The Stars grabbed a much-needed victory as they overcame an early deficit to beat the Cougars on Saturday.
Lee led 11-8 at the end of the first but Winona outscored the Cougars 17-11 in the second to lead 25-22 at the half. The Stars pulled away in the second half as they outscored the Cougars 9-6 in the third and 11-5 in the fourth to take the win.
Latham Hill had a big night as he pumped in 22 points while Reed Roberts ha 10 points. Zack Bailey also had nine points.
