The Montgomery County Board of Supervisors voted to make some repairs to the Screw Conveyor building during Monday’s regular meeting.
The board agreed to seek quotes to repair the roof on a secondary building on the Winona Industry’s campus as well as trim some trees around the building.
In other business:
• At the recommendation of Road Manager Chris Breazeale, the board approved the promotion of Clay Eldridge to foreman. Eldridge will replace Bobby Knight, who left the position.
• The board took no action to appoint someone to fill a vacant position on the East Montgomery County Hospital District Board of Directors. Chester Herrington, who served on the board for many years, passed away recently, according to Hospital Board Chairman Thomas Austin.
• The board discussed the future of the Kilmichael Clinic following the departure of Dr. Katrina Poe later this year. Currently, the clinic is leased and operated by Greenwood Leflore Hospital.
