A Winona man had been arrested and charged with burglary of a commercial building, Winona Police reported Tuesday.
According to Captain Dan Herod, chief investigator for the Winona Police Department, Jeremy Andrew Collins, 19, of Winona was arrested and charged with one count of burglary of a commercial building in connection with a summer 2017 burglary of Winona Country Club.
Herod said a chainsaw, tools, and “other various items” were stolen in the burglary.
Collins waived his preliminary hearing in Winona City Court last Tuesday.
Winona City Judge Donald Bond administratively bound Collins over to the action of a Montgomery County Grand Jury and set bond at $5,000.
Due to inclement weather Tuesday, Winona City Court was cancelled this week.
