A Winona man is facing statutory rape charges.
According to Winona Police Captain Dan Herod, chief investigator for the Winona Police Department, Jerral Easterwood, 30, of Winona has been charged with five counts of statutory rape of a minor under the age of 16.
Herod said Easterwood was arrested Friday.
“We were notified by Tyler Holmes [Memorial Hospital] about a possible crime,” Herod said. “Our investigation led us to Easterwood.”
Herod said Winona City Judge Donald Bond set bond at $50,000.
