A Sarah man is in the Vaiden jail on multiple felonies, following his Aug. 26 arrest.
Winona police responded to a call from dispatch at 11:16 that night regarding a disabled vehicle at the intersection of U.S. Highway 82 and Interstate 55, according to a statement released by Police Chief Roshaun Daniels.
The vehicle was “sitting stationary in the road at the intersection with its lights off and hood up,” stated Daniels. “This led to the subsequent arrest of 20-year-old Lakerrian Ruffin of Sarah, Miss.”
Ruffin is charged with felony possession of controlled substances – marijuana, felony possession of controlled substances enhanced with firearm and felony possession of a gun silencer, according to the release.
Ruffin is currently in the Carroll Montgomery Regional Correctional Facility with a $90,000 bond.
