Winston Academy was back in action last week looking to get a big win over Starkville Academy, but the Volunteers brought the bats.
The Patriots managed just eight hits and saw things unravel in the latter innings with pitching and defense as they would fall 10-0 in six innings.
SA got its first run in the third inning and then started adding to it. After scoring two in the fourth and fifth innings, the Vols would break it open in the sixth and produce the run-rule win. WA was outhit 8-3.
